Worship Service in CRE

dancing chalice by laura
Today in CRE, we will be spending the last Sunday of the month on our 4th UU Principle -
Free, Responsible, Search for Truth and Meaning!

We will do this by having our own Worship Service in the Perkins room just like the adults would be doing in the sanctuary! Rebecca Froom our Intern Minister and Laura Evonne Steinman our Religious Educator will be leading the service! We will have a special singing guest from the Choir as well!

And after our service, after lunch parents are invited to Parents as Resident Theologians and the kids are invited on a tour of ASC with Mark, our music director, Rebecca and JP our RE Assistant!

Come one, Come all! Bring your friends.

Our Flaming Chalice

Our Unitarian Universalist (UU)
Flaming Chalice!

This Sunday, in CRE the focus is on the history of our Flaming Chalice!
"The flaming chalice, like our faith, stands open to receive new truths that pass the tests of reason, justice, and compassion"

Why and how is this a symbol of our tradition?

Everyone will have a chance to hear about this history and
create their own Chalice using scratch off paper!

Helen, a choir member will be visiting as well
and singing the hymn"This Little Light of Mine"
(and maybe another song)
with CRE kids!

Do you know that hymn and the history of our flaming chalice? If so, come share what you know!, if not come learn some history in colorful creative ways!
