grateful gifts

Grateful Gifts!

"psychologists say it is often the giver, rather than the recipient, who reaps the biggest psychological gains from a gift"  <- What is that all about? Lets share our thoughts about this on Sunday!

grate·ful/ˈgrātfəl/

Adjective: Feeling or showing an appreciation of kindness; thankful.

gift/gift/

Noun: A thing given willingly to someone without payment; a present

We will be making scarfs for those in need as the weather becomes colder. They will be  hung on our mitten tree next Sunday ( Dec 11th) and then given to the:
Friday Night Supper Program Guests @ ASC!

As we express our gratitude,
we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words,
but to live by them.   ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

(lets think about this as well..., what do you live by this Holiday Season?,
how do you express your gratitude? )

weaving together

Weaving our :
thoughts, wishes, differences;
all together!

Rebecca Froom our Intern Minister @ Arlington Street Church
will be sharing her time and thoughts with us about WEAVING! -
weaving as part of our Principles!

Come join in, as we hear with our hearts,
and weave with paper and yarn and fabric with our whole bodies.
We'll be weaving placemates this time for the ones,
we will be sharing our Thanksgiving Feast with.

Take to spinning to find peace of mind. The music of the wheel will be as balm to our soul. I believe that the yarn we spin is capable of mending the broken warp and woof of our life. The charkha (spinning wheel) is the symbol for nonviolence on which all life, if it is to be real life, must be based." - Mahatma Gandhi
